Our Christmas concert with the wonderful St Aidan’s High School Chamber Choir, conducted by Jo Leonard was an absolute joy. The ample acoustics of St Wilfrid’s Church, and a large, appreciative audience helped to make the evening so memorable. Benjamin Britten’s ‘A Ceremony of Carols’, sensitively and evocatively accompanied by harpist Lucinda Taylor, was a real highlight. St Aidan’s Chamber Choir created a glorious sound in their pieces, as always, and the two choirs ended the concert singing together John Rutter’s beautiful ‘Christmas Lullaby’. We were very grateful also to Anthony Gray for his marvellous organ playing. What a fantastic way to round off James Savage-Hanford's first term as our MD and our 50th Anniversary celebrations - Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all in 2025!
